Since the Browse and the Layers module are more pertinent to the standalone, I will discuss them here.

Huge number of Buy Perfect Photo Suite 9 mac os It seems like the use of presets these days is becoming more and more prevalent even in the realm of professional photography. Photoshop, Lightroom and Aperture are automatically detected and added. In a previous version, the Layers module was added giving the standalone and Lightroom plug-in a huge increase in functionality including various ways of blending layers. The Effects module contains a huge number of options to change or slightly modify the look of an image through tone, color, etc. It only makes me more interested ! Oh, and I never use Windows on my Apple computer. Please share it: About the Author: Adam Welch Adam is an author, adventurer, photographer and a jolly co-founder Buy Sony CD Architect 5.2 mac Buy Perfect Photo Suite 9 mac os. Good to hear that you like the newer iMac and the 32Gb RAM. Photoshop is too expensive for me (and Lightroom is sufficient for the time being).better to use that money for a new iMac next year. I also use Lightroom as my primary editor, although sometimes I use PPS as a stand alone.

Maybe I'll contact OnOne, but I don't know if that would be very effect full (I already anticipate to their answer.only 8GB RAM in my iMac?) It's by far the best computer I have ever owned.įor the moment I'll work slowly with PPS and be careful not to "overstress" the system with too much layering and/or masking. Video encoding in Handbrake is laughably quick. Unless there are issues with a particular app my late 2012 iMac doesn't break a sweat doing anything.

I'm sure I will choose the most powerful version (although 32Gb RAM doesn't seem to work for Basalite when working in PPS)ģ2GB of RAM is great because I also run Windows 8 in Parallels 8 and I have a lot of apps open and tabs in my browsers and I never have to worry about running out of RAM. I do plan to buy myself a new iMac next year though.

I hope OnOne is looking into this and maybe has a fix of some sort (I'm probably not the only one with issues on speed/sluggish behavior of brushes and sudden shut downs). With Lightroom and Photoshop CS6 I should never need anything else.

I don't need the ACR updates as I shoot Sigma cameras and the rest of my photos come from film scans. I'm seriously considering buying Photoshop CS6 and being done with it. I'm really at a point where I am getting tired of running into limitations and obstacles here and there with different add-on apps I use with my primary editor, Lightroom.

My trial is about to run out but I will be trying the Perfect Photo Mask 8 when it is released in January as that is the part of the app that I am interested in. Basalite, did you contact OnOne with this problem? Basalite has, and he even has a (far) more up-to-date iMac with 32Gb RAM (!). Photoman, I'm glad you don't find any problems with PPS. onOne and NIK are both good plug-ins for LR and PS And can add to your creativity. I'm not affiliated with them, but do highly recommend them because of my positive experiences.

The few times I had to over the last 4 years they were great, professional, understandable, took time to work through the problem, and the one time I had a major issue they discovered a software glitch on their end and kept in contact with me on the repair status. Once you've looked at those areas, and everything checks out and you are still experiencing problems definitely contact onOne tech support. I would run a utility's check if you are on a Mac to see if you have any issues. If you are on a Windows platform first thing I would do is check your HD for fragmentation, also how much ram you have, and as another poster indicated do you have similar problems with other software that put a strain on your system. I will say that the computers that are running more than 8GBs of ram run the program much smoother. I've used this program on both an iMac, MBPro, and Windows 7 machine.

That said I've found the program to work well with large files, with often times over 10-15 layers, and working on converted RAW files into PSD files 300 dpi.

I was beta testing this program back in August of this year and then I might agree, but since then many of those problems disappeared and have been eliminated. First without starting a war with a previous poster, I do not agree that Perfect Photo Suite 8.1 is a very buggy program.
